Gloaming

Let out of choir practice early this afternoon, just before sunset, I dashed along to the rest area on the autoroute to see if I could catch a view of the cité de Carcassonne. It's the first clear sky for days, and the sunset was very underwhelming, but I'd taken no photos at this point, so it was worth a try. Don't look too closely at the detail (or lack of) but I think it's quite atmospheric. It's a teeny bit less fuzzy in large!

It was a good practice; we got through a lot of notes. I made some brownies to take along (it would cause outrage if I didn't bring cake). I ate none of them myself. I took an apple with me because I knew I would be tempted by something otherwise -- singing is hungry work.
