Picnic by the river
We made an early start this morning to be in Perpignan for an appointment at the Renault garage. We discussed the trading in of our present car for a new version of the same car and received a quote. We went onto the Volkswagen garage to test drive again a VW Golf. I was unimpressed with the salesman who explained very little and just sat silently in the back of the car and seemed rather uninterested in us. Also, the car we test drove was not the model I was potentially going to buy so it was rather waste of time. As he offered €3000 less than the Renault garage for my car, it was a no brainer. We returned to the Renault garage and signed up for the Clio. I shall collect it at the end of next week. On the way home, we stopped at a pretty picnic spot by the river Tet. Our tower captain is still away so I led the ringing practice and then cooked monkfish wrapped in ham for our two ringing friends who stay with us on Saturday nights when they are visiting. This means they do not to have to drive a long way home before having to return again in the morning.
