June Tabor and Oysterband

Not the best of photos but we were in the Circle for their concert at  the Barbican tonight. They were in excellent form playing a lot of songs frim their Ragged Kingdom album along with many other favourites. June Tabor's voice is still strong as she nears her 77th birthday and it blends so well with John Jones's voice. I reckon this may have been one of the last chances I will get to see them, which made it even more special. June Tabor is a great unsung hero of British music - powerful songs in the folk tradition put across with such expression in her unique voice. Check her out, blippers!
