On Fire or not
We spent my last day with Parker and the pups tidying up. I’d moved many bags of food, clothes, linens, meds, toiletries, etc to their home. All of that went to the car so I could see how the now empty spaces looked. Parker had acquired a full load of dirty laundry and of course, the pups left fur everywhere! We had a few dirty dishes as well. Lauren came to visit and brought us a loaf of homemade rustic bread that was still warm. We both had a slice for lunch. Lauren’s family is trying to go gluten free to see if that helps any of Isla’s issues. A neighbor had baked it for her as a thank you gift. Our gain. Parker started mowing the lawn until he ran out of gas and had to go buy some. I left to get ready for Mass before he returned home. I stopped at the elementary school near our home to get this blip. They have some really colorful trees right now. Jamie’s family arrived home around 6:30 pm. Renee took Parker’s homecoming pictures. Was sorry I missed seeing him. He is going with his lacrosse friends, none of whom have time for “women” between school, jobs and sports. Good news for his parents and us. Hubby took me out to a steakhouse as a welcome home dinner. We came home and I put everything away. Hubby is playing phone tag with delivery companies. One because their driver ran over and crushed two of our solar lights and the other because their driver didn’t deliver a package that we had to sign for by the agreed upon time. It’s hard to do business with companies when their employees are so negligent. My blip is very late tonight and I doubt I can stay awake to read many of your journals. Wishing you a restful evening. Stay safe. Thanks for visiting.
