Verdict on the Lupo is that two exhaust valves are bent. Top end rebuild required just to see if it will throw the belt off again. Not really worth the £700 when we know the bottom end needs a refurb too.

So do we spend £1200 ish on a new engine or cut our loses and get a 'new' car. Or is it case of the better the devil you know...? Pants. Big saggy ones.
