Epic Victoria sponge. For 'international' Coutts 24 day (where I work), having a bit of a celebration as it's the 24/7 and that's kind of what we do.

So the verdict on the car is spend the £1500 to get the engine completely refurbished and save the Lupo from the breakers. Logic is that while the car is only worth about £1k it would cost quite a bit more than £1.5 to get anything as good. Plus it had a refurbished gearbox last year so what else can possibly go wrong (famous last words!!!).
It's the cheapest solution in the short term. Whether or not it's the right one - time will tell.

I feel happy, didn't like the thought of the Lupo going to the knackers. It's only a baby at 13 years old, the other cars are in their late forties / early 50s! Guess they don't make 'em like they used to...
