Returned from her travels

Daughter C returned home after four weeks away. She was given leave and travel assistance to visit a number of countries in Europe, as she is the head of the history department at her school. She has had the opportunity to visit countries where she has not previously been. Countries whose modern history is taught. Such as Auschwitz.

The grandsons had the two weeks of the school holidays helping us to keep Z involved, and Mr H (as well as working) has cared for the dog. They are happy to have their Mum back. 

Modern technology was used by C to tell us (very) brief details of her days usually with photos. It was almost as if she and we all were in the same room. Except that the daily update had a tendency to happen in the early hours of the morning. 

The last flight was an hour earlier than we expected. nevertheless, we all managed to get there in time to greet her as she came out from the customs hall. Three very happy people.
