Godstone

Went to Godstone today to get something very specific - a particular brand of Bombay Mix that I got from the Londis shop in April. Unfortunately, they were all sold out and awaiting delivery! :(( Should have asked when it was due in.

Godstone has some lovely large trees encircling the village green that provide much needed shade (on days like today) so we had a little sit down under the a sycamore tree which had this gorgeous copper beech right next to it. I loved the deep red leaves as they fell to the ground and even brought some back hoping to do an artistic blip, but you've got this instead! Just look at how brown that grass is!

Did I mention the guys at Blip Support got me back on track with my journal as I accidentally posted Saturday's entry as Sunday! I promised them I would switch off auto-pilot when hitting the enter key at crucial times.

An eventful day today... hottest day (ever?), a new royal baby, my first pub lunch (Keston) this visit... journal entry done the second time round as my computer has a fault where the cursor keeps jumping around and I lost everything the first time!
