Spring fete

Today we had the Spring Fete at Miss Traill’s House and Garden. I got the job of setting up the plant stall and doing the morning shift. Fortunately Bob came to help as there was a lot of carrying plants (people had delivered)  and the afternoon shift team didn’t arrive….so we did the whole day. Phew. We were pretty tired after the event when we had to clean up the area and put away the tables, chairs, shade canopy etc.

I purchased 2 new iris, a huge frilly yellow and white one (which I will plant out tomorrow) and a smaller white frilly one). See extras. 

It was quieter than last year (there were 3 other fetes around town today) so during a long quiet spell I started Wordle and asked for help from anyone who came near. They were very happy to help. One lady went to her car and produced a thick magazine of assorted puzzles and handed them to Bob (for me as I  was off doing something else at the time). People are surprising aren’t they. The magazine had 2 crossword puzzles done and cost $12.
