countdown #6
Hakan came this morning and we discussed what to do about the pool over the winter. As a result of that conversation, he came back an hour later with his brother who moved the garden tap (and hose) to a much better, more practical location. I love the way things get done in Turkey which is to say, very quickly. No appointment necessary.
Rufus and I spent a couple of hours at Sahara restaurant this afternoon attending the CoDA charity fund raiser sale - where15,000 lira was taken (about £340) which will be used for food and veterinary care for the local shelter and street animals.
Mark came not long after five to continue planning our road trip to the UK. We are going via Greece and Italy, similar to the route taken by Graham and Kat in July. Fewer borders and all EU - till we get to Blighty that is! The ferry Igoumenitsa to Brindisi is now booked for Saturday afternoon.
A quiet evening at home with Rufus and MommaCat with Netflix for entertainment, but focus was difficult as my mind keeps drifting back to the upcoming road trip and all the things I have to do before then.
Today's photo taken as Rufus and I walked back from Sahara. The view caught my attention as it is almost as if someone is pulling a solid cloud curtain across a clear blue sky to close the day.
