Start the day right

I got a message from Harsh saying that he was coming up to Shrewsbury to pick Claire up, for Ralph to do Junior parkrun and did we fancy meeting up.

"Did you make it?" — Hugo with a power up sign and a clue to where they were on the course* which Owen loved tapping whacking on his way past. Once that was done (and sign bashed on the way back) we all went to the playground. The boys to go nuts together, and the adults to get coffee and stand around holding all the paraphernalia in the cold. It was really nice to catch up and the boys to burn off some energy, so much so that they wanted carrying back to the cars*.

After all that, the afternoon saw us take a trip over to the farm for Nan's birthday meal complete with the obligatory birthday cake*. Karen was over visiting for the weekend and there was a lot of catching up as well as photo opportunities*.
