Cheese
The edge of Storm Ashley passed through last night with a fair amount of rain and wind. Luckily I slept through most of it, once I'd wedged the bathroom door shut to stop it banging.
The rain had stopped by 0900, although it was still very windy, so the planned walk up to St Michael's Mount took place as planned, in order to get there by the time the causeway opened. It was a bit later than advertised because of the onshore breeze and watching the people in their shiny white trainers try and get across before it was fully exposed was quite amusing (I had my walking boots on and even I waited the extra 20 minutes).
After a short - much of the island was closed off because of the weather - wander round it was back to the mainland for my third Sunday lunch out in three weeks. I think I'll be having cheese on toast next week.
Home to finish yesterday's papers and then we'll go out again for a glass of wine or something similar later.
