Love, Ashley
We awoke to a wild day as Storm Ashley battered the coast. Fortunately, by lunchtime, the rain stopped and the sky turned blue. Mr PB went down to the harbour and I went to explore a nearby cemetery for fungi (none found) then down to the beach. There were lots of birds. I was particularly pleased to see a flock of about 30 Ringed Plover drop into a rock protruding from the waves but there were lots of other birds already there - including Black-headed Gulls, Turnstones, Oystercatchers, a Kittiwake (not in the photo) , I think, a Sanderling, and a Curlew (in extras) It was splendid watching the white horses as the tide came in.(extras)
