A Red, Red Rose (or two)

Today should have been busy, but turned out to be quiet. Yesterday evening the band committee emailed to say today's gig at Harlow Carr had been cancelled - it was still forecast to be raining at our start time and was also going to to be windy even when the rain stopped - not conducive to playing outdoors! So having got home at 10:45 last night we were actually glad we didn't have to get up, fill the car with drums and leave again only 13 hours later. Oh well, third time lucky next year hopefully? Last year's gig at Harlow Carr also got cancelled due to the weather. And this is the third time we've not played at a location next to a Betty's this year! Gonna have to try harder to use the gift vouchers we got last Christmas!

So, a quiet day messing around with the free roses we got last week (thank you Waitrose) and a walk in the sun after the rain cleared.
