My last day in Budapest and so I got about as much Vitamin D as possible. I did another run on Margaret Island - with all the other Sunday runners - and made a few detours to capture the mini statues that are all over Budapest. I’m only sorry that I didn’t start looking for them until yesterday as it’s a fun way to see the city. My fave was our Queen on the yellow submarine.

I packed and tidied the flat and then got the tram out to Liberty Bridge to find another mini statue and then got the tram back to meet Orsolya. We had a delightful walk over the castle hill, perfectly autumnal with bright blue skies and crisp orange leaves. After that we had an early dinner at an excellent Indian restaurant and she popped me on the bus back home.

Alarm set ready for a 4am taxi in the morning but leaving with some very happy memories and a definite intention to return!
