Pondering

I don’t know that she is exactly but whatever she is doing, she was very content. It’s not very often that I get to see her on the rocking chair. She normally saves it for when I’m not in but Cathie tells me that she quite often climbs up while she’s working and sometimes doesn’t even move off when Cathie comes home at an odd time figuring that she will be going out again quite quickly.
It’s the only chair she climbs up on and I think it’s because that’s where I used to sit and cuddle her back to sleep in the early hours when she was a tiny pup not yet house trained and waking very early for a play then snoozing again.

This morning was rainy and due to have a storm arrive in the rest of the day. We decided to go swimming anyway. It was not appealing when we arrived (already kitted up in the plan to change in the heated bathrooms) however, it was a lovely swim and the rain actually stopped part way through and didn’t return.
There were lots of leaves again today but the water wasn’t so black and velvety so they didn’t memorise me the same.
We were in about 20mins … and it was not too long this time, even though Tine was a bad influence on me and we kept having one more last loop! Haha! (Saying that, it was warmer than last week. On Friday it was back up to 11degrees).
We had a lovely time in the cafe too and none of us wanted to leave. It took several attempts and quite a bit of effort to actually move!

I fairly quickly went up to mom’s thinking I’d spend a couple hours then head home. However, I arrived back before her! She arrived back just as I was about to leave. I thought perhaps she n Stewart had been out for lunch after church but no. I asked if she wanted to go out for lunch and her whole being lit up. So…we (and the dogs) went to Hebdon School Tearoom.
It was a beautiful day! Blue skies, fluffy white clouds and Autumn colored leaves.
We sat beside a couple that were visiting the area and enjoyed a chat with them.
After, I dropped mom back home and went home myself to do the marking I thought I might get done at mom’s.
Just as dinner was going in the oven, I nipped back up to walk the dogs and sorted dinner for mom.
Then home. Dinner. Finished marking in front of Harry Potter. Got ready for tomorrow. Bed. :)
