Leaving the nest

Less than hour after this photo this taken the Tawny Frogmouth chick took the leap of faith and left the nest. Given the intense look I received, it did not like the look of me and waited until I left :-) The surf is predicted to be a little better in coming days (fingers crossed). This time of year is usually fairly poor with Northerly winds typical (and less ground swell from the south east).....
