We've landed!

On Madeira - where we've not been for six whole years! 20⁰ centigrade, blue skies, and a gentle breeze. (That was a horizontal-windsock cross wind as we landed!)

Just lovely to be back though we're staying somewhere different. It was very much a last minute decision to travel and our favourite hotel was fully booked. So we're staying in the Quinta da Bela Vista (another mid-19th century hotel) but nearer 45 mins walk into Funchal instead of 15! We may take advantage of their minibus and/or the regular #8 bus. 

Meanwhile, these roll-your-own clouds appealed to me, en route from airport to hotel. My Extra shows the enormous bamboos outside our balcony-window!
