The great outdoors.....

Tuesday...dull, overcast weather..

We decided to go into the Botanical Gardens this afternoon , Ella wanted to do the Kidsfest Treasure Hunt that they have organised for a holiday activity.

We took her cousin in with us, picked up the 'map' and off the two of them went following clues all around the gardens for an hour or so. I trailed behind them with my camera, taking a few photos, and enjoyed seeing a few promising colours of blooms amongst the bare winter branches....a few Camellias, Hellebores, and even some early Magnolias.

This is taken by the very old temperate glasshouse which is now still closed from EQ damage.
We used to love going in here and seeing some great plants, Ella remembers it from when she was a toddler and I used to bring her in quite often.
I am not sure what the plan is with any repairs.
