Everyday I Write The Book

Van Gogh

Stunning exhibition at the National Gallery. So moving. A wonderfully curated collection of images from a crucial period in the great man’s life, which showed how his intense emotional states found their way into his painting. I took some pictures of a few whole canvases and a lot of details from others. You can find them here. You really do feel you are entering Van Gogh’s world.

We also went to see the Luke Jerram Gaia globe which can be found in Southwark Cathedral at the moment. Quite overwhelming. The longer you look at it the more thoughtful you become. Ours really is a very blue (and white) planet.

Best thing about today was feeling so much better and more energised. Over 12,000 steps, and really felt like my old self.
