Ready to plant

I want to plant the garlic before I go on the trip. G helped to separate the cloves from the bulbs, then I removed most of the papery skin. There are eighty-five cloves to plant.  Some of the heavy skin came off ten of them, so I've roasted and frozen them. So easy to take a clove or more out of the freezer to use in recipes. Not sure when I'll plant them, maybe Wednesday. The bed is ready, so just watching the weather.
A neighbour offered us some apples from one of his trees, so we walked over to pick them up. G will make applesauce from the imperfect ones. John said that the good ones will last until spring in the fridge or a cold place, good to have a supply of them.
