Nasturtiums in the rain
I had a chance to go outside for about an hour when it finally stopped raining. The flowers other than the dahlias aren't doing well, might have to clean out most of the pots before I go away. This was one of the few nasturtiums that didn't look like the one on the right or worse. I got a huge pile of fig leaves raked up and hauled out to the compost pile, then the rain started again and more leaves have fallen. We've had so much rain and it's absolutely pouring as I type.
Up just before 6am to watch Kalyn and her team win again. They played in Grimma today, and won in four sets, 25-20, 25-12, 27-25, and 25-17. The third set was a bit of a nail-biter. Kalyn played really well, even though a hamstring is bothering her. One of her roommates, Maia, hurt her knee early in the match, but she played the entire time. She's an excellent attacker. I hope that Kalyn and Maia are okay and that neither of their injuries is serious.
Extra: yesterday's visitor. Not a good photo but it's the first buck I've seen for quite a long time.
Sunday Soup: cream of asparagus and leek, delicious!
