Down In The Woods

We spent today on the Resort (as they call it): the morning spent in the pool complex then, in the afternoon we picked up hire bikes and had a lengthy ride through the woods and meadows that surround the site. 

The photo was taken at the bottom of the steep descent alongside a stream. As you can see, there was plenty of dappled sunlight on offer.

Needless to say there was a longer, more gradual ascent to follow that may have required some pushing of bikes. 

We were all pretty stiff and in need of something similar when it came to drinks by the time we got back
