Birnbeck Pier

After taking granddaughter Amelia to school, we drove to Weston Suoer Mare (Somerset, England UK) to do a cycle ride with our friends Steve and Julia about midday. We had some spare tome so did a shop in Asda and had a walk along the promenade.

The ride was via Route 33 between Weston Super Mare and Clevedon piers and we included Sands Bay head. The total distance was 32 miles. The sun was out in Clevedon and we sat outside enjoying the sun with a coffee. It was hot!

We didn't get back to our car until 5pm and not home until 6.30pm - but in time to watch the Cardiff City FC v Portsmouth match on tv. Let's home Cardiff get another good win.

My pick of the photo's from the day is of Birnbeck Pier that burned down and is now closed. There's talk of restoing it. Let's hope that happens.
