A touch of wild elegance

 Having a pheasant visit our balcony  is a delightful and surprising discovery.


This plump bird, which has escaped the local shoot, adds a touch of elegance after the visits recently of the  predatory sparrow-hawk, with his eyes on our small birds.
 It's arrival is an unexpected bonus, a chance to see wildlife up close.
