A touch of hygge

Tonight we had some new neighbours around , a chance for them to meet each other.
So I decided ot try and create a feeling of hygge, after all we are now well into autumn and the party season will soon be upon us.
 
But what is hygge? I like this definition I found on the web:”
“A room that’s cosy, comfortable  that engenders a feeling of conviviality and contentment or well-being- regarded as a defining characteristic of Danish culture.
 
Well, I reckoned an open fire, candles and subdued lighting might help to create a feeling of hygge.
