Hydrangea
Who knew they had such amazing autumn colour. Never stop looking!
A busy day at Mum's, a fair bit of it cooking, plus fair bit of admin and organising stuff. Mum had no appetite, was very tired and a little unwell yesterday but today was very different. She and Ruth looked at some craft projects mum had been working on earlier in the year, thanks to Ruth, a knitted rabbit got a new scarf :-)
I cooked a Sunday roast type meal with roast butternut squash as an extra and this went down very well. Later I rustled up Carrot and Coriander soup for tea, using lentils and a leek to vary the recipe and it was delicious ... another clean plate! After the carer came to help mum to bed Ruth and I shopped again, adding some soup to the kitchen cupboard for after we have gone.
Our last day here tomorrow and I will take mum to an eye clinic check up at a hospital. Her sight has been poor for a while and now that she's also much more infirm, I can't pretend that I am not a little anxious about the trip. Fingers crossed, all will go smoothly.
