Salvatore Dali tower

Walking around in the village Mourne, close to Spili, in the province of Rethimnon, the Agios Fanourios church and its tower in the village center look different from most churches here on Crete.

It's tower with the alcoves make a lovely frame for panorama's and when coming closer to the tower the strings for ringing the church bell with were blown into my face and onto my shoulders now and again, as there's a harsh wind blowing in mountainous places.

The bell strings plus this church tower with alcoves gave me the impression that this is totally a Salvatore Dali setting... I suppose he'd loved this village on Crete.
