Living my dream

There's a pesky buzzy fly

Bean was contentedly snoozing on Pink when a noisy whirring fly had the temerity to whizz in through the open door and batter itself against the window in an attempt to get out again. She is irritated by flies and has been know to hunt them down and eat them. And you thought she was angelic?

It has been another hectic day preparing and getting ahead of myself for F's imminent arrival. Fortunately the rain has held off and I've been able to do everything I wanted to do, outside and in.

I was mowing before 8am, and then line trimming. At elevenses I trundled the lawnmower down the road to the Soapmaker, who is going to service it for me. He was an engine mechanic in a previous existence, which is handy. We drank tea and nattered for a wee while.

Then it was back to the grindstone - vacuuming, more line trimming, baking bread, picking silverbeet to add to a flan for supper, and finally sitting down with a long cold drink and thinking about my Blip.

F will be here in half an hour, and I expect be mostly absent from Blip for a couple of days.
