Blip opportunity!
Lovely day again with a great early walk except it was noticeably darker at the start. Clocks change on Saturday/Sunday so there will be a brief respite in the mornings but we will be in the dark from about 5.00pm
After the dark start we could see the sky changing as we climbed up past Lady Blantyres Rock, I dropped back a little to take some photos and as I arrived near the top I spotted the others ahead taking a photo of the sunrise through a gap in the wall.
Our one male walker, M is at the back behind blipper Corinthian Column taking her shot and as I soon as I took the picture S, Wilsden Walker, moved forward to take one nearer to the wall.
Despite the slight blur of movement I liked this enough to use it as my blip for today.
A stunning day again and I could have taken lots more autumn tree shots especially the woods across the cricket field when we called in to Woodbank for a coffee.
We were on our way back from getting some Violas and some compost from B & M. I did about an hour in the front garden cutting back and tidying up but was ready to stop as my back was aching so happily gave up to go with Chris, I’d filled a bag so was quite happy. This years geraniums have been poor, possibly too wet, so we’re going to dispose of them and start again next year, they will be replaced by the Violas for the winter.
If you want to see more of the colour from Harlow Carr yesterday I’ve made a Flickr album here.
