“Have a nice day”
I spotted this artwork on a bricked-up window near the library, and I quite enjoyed it. Especially the smile on Snoopy’s face in combination with his supine position.
I think I did have a relatively nice day, at times, although it also felt quite uneventful. I could probably have done with a bit more lying down on my back.
The weather was nice enough for me to drink my morning coffee in the garden, while I did some messaging.
After an early lunch, I did some stuff on my computer while I waited for the arrival of an order that I’d done from the RSPB shop (lots of pretty goodies!), and then I headed out.
I had a mini-panic slightly later, when I realised that Panama (as least the eastern part of it, just up to where Panama City is) might be an area of yellow fever transmission. As someone with no knowledge of the relative dangers of this disease and the relevant timescales for acquiring immunity through vaccination, I thought: Oh shit, this could scupper things. But my preliminary research suggests that it’s not a disaster. I’ll look into it properly on Saturday.
The big news of the day, however, is that Nina has booked her flights to Panama, so now it’s my turn.
The other news is that my second date will be in Glasgow on Friday afternoon! I’m nervous again and excited again, and there’s probably many other feelings besides.
