Mum and baby…

… Just like in real life!
Today a new baby has arrived in the family of my oldest friend. Old as in longest time, rather than Methuselah… (Although? That cap is kind of fitting).

I was thrilled to receive the photo of the newborn, and smiled to see that the new Mum had managed to keep her false eyelashes in tact for the entire labour. Bless…
Fings really ain’t wot they used to be!

I was very tired today, after a, ‘let’s not talk about it’, adrenaline-fuelled disturbance during the night.. No one was harmed. (And the burglar alarm is now fixed).
For a joke after lunch I folded my arms on the table and rested my head. (Like we used to do at the Mixed Infants, ‘Heads Down’).
I fell asleep.

(Rude?).
