(295) Edinburgh Rocks

Day out in Edinburgh today. We had a wander around the National Gallery and Princes Street gardens and ended up in the pub for beer and Scrabble. On the way along Princes Street I spotted rope access work underway on the castle rock. I assume they were checking for and removing any loose material? Extra is a flight of four superb beers from Overtone, Frontaal, and  Protokoll breweries and an incredible brew from Vault City, a 14.5% abv Imperial Stout. I checked the Vault City website when I got home and, even at £9.50 for a 440ml can, the beer is sold out. I'm disappointed but not surprised.
