Scarlet Waxcap

A mostly grey and wet day until the last hour of light when the sun finally broke through. Raking up leaves in the orchard I've found several different species of waxcap. Today it was these beautiful Scarlet Waxcaps (Hygrocybe coccinea), also known as Scarlet Hood.
