Back On The Court

We finally got back to the beach today for a little Sunday afternoon volleyball. Even though the court was squeezed by both the waves and a multitude of umbrellas Lourdes managed to make it all work. The net has been down since before we went to Guanajuato over a month ago, but with all the people in town on vacation, she decided to set things up as long as I brought the lines and a ball. The lines turned out to be unnecessary because the net was shortened to fit the available space. The court was truncated as well, but it didn't seem to matter to those of us who have been starved for some beach volleyball. Lourdes, near court in the white shirt, was able to play some early games (here against my undefeated wife and her partner), then it was back to selling beach umbrellas to passing tourists while the rest of us enjoyed the fruits of her labors.
