Halloween is coming

There are lots of haunted houses happening this weekend, although the ones that were scheduled for tonight have been postponed to tomorrow night. It is a windy evening. This one is called the "House of Doom' and it has become an annual fundraiser for the Children's Hospital here in Halifax.

I have the back of my truck filled with empty plant pots tonight and will drop them off at a nursery tomorrow. They can reuse them. It's amazing the number of pots that collect up each year. I have to buy more plants at the nursery tomorrow too. One more planting job to be done this year and it is scheduled for Wednesday, if it doesn't rain that day.

Where will I go after my stop at the nursery tomorrow? I will decide that tomorrow. Possibly cross country to Chester, then a drive around the Aspotogan Peninsula. There may be some fall color left, despite the wind today.

The new guy that started this week passed my approval his first day. And he has passed both Albert and Stephanie's approval too. Albert has already offered him a job on his snow removal crew this winter. So there is a chance he could come back to work next spring.
