New recipe

This morning we found out a  nephew T and his partner, J , who live in Burton on Trent have had another child. She is called Amelia Rose. She has a big brother, Theo, aged 4, whom we met in person two years ago. So now we have five great nieces and nephews, but none close by. (Good excuse to browse  toy and book  shops once again.)

This evening I tried  a new recipe (Waitrose) which involved  baking finely sliced beetroots and then  adding to puff pastry tart with fried red onion,  goats cheese and walnuts. Bit of a faff but only had to buy one new ingredient- red wine vinegar.
