Catching the autumn colours
So many leaves have been brought down this week. My lawns are covered again and there are bare trees around the village.
I drove up to the village of Stonehaugh. This is a forestry village. The houses were built for forestry workers.
My hip is still sore, so I just pottered around, trying to find the best colours that remain. Of course, a lot of the trees in the area are evergreen - planted for harvesting.
I know that Margret will have been touched by your concern. She is able to sit up and eat. The plan is to stay in Addenbrookes until a transfer to Hexham General can be facilitated.
This is a sensible decision because she will then be in the right place when support services are organised for her.
I went to her house to check it today and brought away perishable foods. Some of the veg went into my chicken curry for this evening. (Yes, it's the chicken I cooked earlier in the week.) i also picked a few apples and used two in the curry. Delicious.
