Musing of a Lady

Unexpected Changes

Today has been something of a rollercoaster. I broke my phone screen last night (after I had posted yesterday's photo). I'd put it on the fence and then had it flip off the fence, screen down, when the fence wiggled. I was able to get it working long enough to book an appointment in Gouda to get it fixed. I had originally planned to go to the phone shop in Oudewater but they don't stock replacement screens for the Samsung Galaxy S22 (the soonest they could get my phone fixed was Tuesday). I was also able to organise a play date for Little Man so he didn't have to come with me. Within a few hours, the screen wasn't turning on at all, the phone itself was working though, as I was still getting notifications.

So today, I dropped Little Man off and biked into Gouda. It was rather daunting journey as I didn't have Google Maps. The couple looking after Little Man gave me directions and that helped (I did also asked for helped on route to make sure I was on the right track).

Once I dropped the phone off, I spent some time in Gouda, waiting, got a few coffees, did some knitting and then went to get my phone and pay a fortune for the repair.

This afternoon was quiet in comparison. Little Man and I had a lovely time together. The sun was out and it was pretty warm. The weather seems to be pretty confused about whether or not it's autumn or summer.

The extra photo is one of the few remaining leaves on the trees outside the house.
