And Then There Were Nine...
My turkey family comes 3-4 times a week to graze the field. There has always been 10 of them but this morning there is only nine. It is hunting season right now, a time I despise, and I suspect one has been taken. It reminded me of the book, And Then There Were None, by Agatha Christie. I hope my little family doesn't face the same outcome. It breaks my heart. This lady decided to investigate the Back Porch Cafe. They've actually come right up on the porch before. I will scatter corn for them today. I've always thought their neck feathers look like pinecones.
