A Fall Fairy Frock
A fun thing I like to do from time to time is to make wee fairy dresses out of leaves and other plant material. They exist ultimately only as a photograph since they shrivel up in time. I just do it for the enjoyment and challenge of it. The great, British environmental artist, Andy Goldsworthy, has taken this sort of temporary art to its highest level and I love his transient art, his, or as he says, “ephemeral collaboration with nature”. I've seen his work in Scotland. There is a permanent piece in the botanical gardens in Edinburgh. Here's a short video of him and his art. Now, go out and make some temporary art! Don't forget to photograph it! An Andy Goldsworthy unofficial challenge!
