It’s a beautiful day!..
A summerhouse kind of day.
We never used to hang out washing on a Sunday, but were trying to get ahead of the game, so to speak, after our holiday, and before my operation on Friday.
I will no doubt be hors de combat for a few days or more, until a new routine is established.
In the meantime, we watched our church services on line this morning after both of us having had a good night’s sleep.
The washing had been hung out before breakfast as it was done last night.
Beautiful autumnal colours and mellow golden sunshine before the sky is just beginning to cloud over a little, but it is high cloud.
We have both been sitting in the summerhouse enjoying the tranquility.
Most of the laundry is in various stages of being folded to go away, or draped over radiators and chairs, if it is still a little damp.
Thankful for the warm sunshine and breeze which helped to more or less dry everything. And Sunday lunch with homemade syrup sponge pudding!
The change of the hour has been seamless. Only I do not really like darker evenings as they arrive sooner.
I make no comment on the Election across the Pond, nor the upcoming Budget here.
Plenty of places where I can read about both, (if I so wish), just for now. I prefer the calm and peace of the garden, and the luxury of a good book.
