Reforestation
This is one of the areas in Bingley St Ives which was felled due to the existence of a virus. Earlier in the year, Tony and I were involved with the replanting project and, on our return from lunch in the town this afternoon, we paused to have a look inside the tree protectors to see how the little trees were getting on. The success rate for the beech, oak and rowan trees is surprisingly high. Tony also spotted several areas, including this one, where the larch trees and Scots Pine have self seeded and are going strong. Good to see.
It was a very pleasant and bright day for our walk to the Craft House via Beckfoot Ford and back the Altar Lane route. I chose the special walnut, halloumi and roast veg tart with salad which was totally yummy.
