Up On The Roof

Always lovely to see a male house finch • Lots of bird and squirrel activity around the yard with everyone seeking seeds, nuts and water. I secretly watched and listened to two bluejays in a window box this morning. I was inside, they were outside making sounds I’ve never heard before. They were gobbling up seeds that I had placed there for birds to find. Definitely happy chortles :) • Two blustery days have sent leaves flying into the air. The big trees in the backyard are mostly bare now and the hill is blanketed in colored leaves. We packed away chairs and the fire pit into the shed, and I’ll be covering the mums tonight • Four days until Halloween!
