Lovely coloured leaves

Quite a busy day as we had the family visiting so just a quick photo of an acer we have in our garden. This is in a pot and was given to us by a friend a few years ago..I think for a wedding anniversary.

It was nice to have all three grandchildren together and they played football together outside for a while. We had a nice lunch and caught up on all the news from both families.
I also showed them some of the scrap books which we kept when our children were at primary school…we used to put in leaflets of places we visited and many are the same as they are now taking their children to…eg Natural History Museum, Windsor castle etc. Also some old paper tickets for trains!

We also had a look at some of the Lego our children had and decided we don’t need to keep all of the sets…I had a look on EBay and found some sell for very good prices. So I may decide to get rid of them..but some need to be made first to check we have all the pieces. A job for the long dark evenings maybe!

Now for a quiet evening.
