Lilies

The photo is of some lilies I was given last week which have just come out..they go well with the plate which I decorated at the Emma Bridgewater factory and which I currently have on display for a while!

Very contrasting weather today.chilly to start , then lots of rain and later on nice and sunny.

As it was not nice this morning I decided not to go to the allotment so have done some sewing and research for a holiday next June…possibly a gulet cruise in Turkey ..I did one over 10 years ago and really enjoyed it. 

Off to a dinner tonight…to celebrate 50 years of the Teddington Society. It was founded in 1973 as there was a lot of opposition to knocking down an old house on a riverside plot and the development of small blocks of flats. The flats did go ahead but the band of people carried on with the Society and to this day one of the groups is the planning group which looks at all the planning applications each month and makes objections to some.
