A lot of empty

We had breakfast, filled the gas tank and got back on the I-15 heading south. It seemed to take forever to get through the urban areas including Salt Lake City. We had a bit of an advantage with traveling on a Sunday morning. It did seem a bit quieter than we'd seen.
Just after making the turn to the east onto hwy 6, a line of wind turbines popped into view. The 6 became the 191 and soon we were on the 70 zooming towards Moab, Utah, then back on the 191 for the last lap.
We'd stopped at a rest stop to get a shot of the landscape along the route. I found juniper bushes loaded with berries. Are these the same as what's used for gin? I got another shot of the long view towards Moab. No view of the red rock and soil yet.....
We've made a couple of stops today just to redirect the finicky GPS. Once the screen froze so we had audio but no visual....I've been tempted to toss it out the window.
We checked into the motel about 3 PM. My cranky feet really wanted off the pedals so I'm sitting with them up. I will need to sort out a place for dinner.
Tomorrow, we'll be in Arches National Park, one of my most favourite places to be.
