A disappointing
start to the day, but it all
ended very well

It seems our motel had few guests overnight so we found our breakfast rather short. No eggs or other protein was provided. As a farm girl, eggs are essential for breakfast so I was not very pleased. It left me hungry at the end of the afternoon.
We woke to a grey sky and light rain in the forecast. First, we visited an electronics store to get a battery charger for my friend's camera. Then we drove off to the Arches National Park just a few miles down the road to discover we required a booking for a time slot and a pass, all only available online.
We returned to our motel where our laptops were waiting. I scrambled to find the site, make the purchases and store them on my cell phone. The booking system was all new to me and I don't do anything on my phone but call and text. I was sorely challenged to manage this - but I did it!
We drove back to the park for the allotted time, everything showed up on my phone and we were admitted. As a bonus (and a reward) the sky began to clear and we soon found ourselves in a lovely day.
We spent several hours in the park looking for the arches we could reach without hiking. Having had a rather Spartan breakfast, we went looking for a restaurant as we left the park.
I'd read about a "Mediterranean' restaurant near our motel and it turned out to be a delight.....right down to the baklava for dessert.
Tomorrow, we're back on the highway heading for Cedar City, Utah.
