River of light

This evening, just before sunset, I went into Liverpool with J & A, to the River of Light. Unfortunately it was raining and we got absolutely soaked as we walked around for 2.5 hrs. (I also discovered that my waterproof coat is no longer waterproof!). 

There were some good light installations but overall it wasn't anywhere near as good as previous years. We did manage to go and visit Paddington as well - see extra. We finished with a meal at the Hawker Street Food restaurant where we've been before. The food is amazing and so different.

Our wet coats did leave rather a puddle in the restaurant and it wasn't nice having to put them back on afterwards. However, getting wet just added to the fun and we've had a great laugh.
