Labour Day
It’s a holiday in NZ to celebrate when the 8 hour day was brought in 1840.
There are no special celebrations to mark it , yet it was a huge achievement in its time.
As you can see in my photo, Frida had another wee walk on the lead. Jill and Frida walked a short way with me, then I walked on to Waterfall Creek and then home. About 8kms.
I liked the view of Mt Gold across the lake with Eely Point, the dark part, in front of it - (extra).
It’s got a bit colder, so Billy and Frida are sound asleep in front of the fire. A quiet evening ahead!
